Role Summary/Purpose: The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) is a two-year leadership training program designed to accelerate the development of entry-level talent and build leaders capable of commercial careers at GE. The program is structured to build leadership, technical, and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and applicable training.
Essential Responsibilities: As a CLP your rotations will provide you with exposure to a number of different businesses and products, and building on your business knowledge
CLP members will be offered four rotational assignments during the two-year CLP program period, in multiple locations, in addition to structured training courses
Possible job rotations include: Commercial Operations, Sales, Pricing, Application Engineering, and Field Service
Coursework includes Sales Fundamentals, Negotiation skills, Marketing Essentials, Finance Essentials, Terms & Conditions, Spirit & Letter, Power Plant Fundamentals, Evaluation, Analysis and Pricing, Foundations of Leadership and Lean Six Sigma
Potential rotation locations include Italy, France, UK, Hungary, USA and other
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree candidate in an engineering discipline, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Systems, Systems or Industrial Engineering
  • Less than 3 years full-time external work experience
  • Available to begin employment in September 2016
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead projects of varying scope
  • Ability to work in teams effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English language, with a global mindset
    Geographically mobile;
  • Ready for assignments in 2-3 different locations during the program
  • Candidates with passion to work in Commercial roles
    Passion for excellence with high Integrity, and commitment to quality
    Inquisitive and able to learn quickly, as the program has a steep learning curve
